Can I have custom installation folder for latest versions (2.1.6+)?

I had Anki desktop version 2.1.58 earlier, which I’ve uninstalled now. I notice that backup copy of cards data is safely kept in ‘Appdata’ folder.
While installing a new version 2.1.65, is there any disadvantage in selecting custom installation folder; for ex. ‘program files’, instead of default ‘Appdata’ folder selected by the installer ?

Thanks!

You can put Anki where you’d like, but if you put it in a system folder, you may need to run the installer as an admin.

Thanks a lot!
