I would like to report the following small bug on the iOS/iPadOS version of Anki.
- Open Anki
- Start reviewing a deck.
- When the first card appears, shake your device (or accidentally let it fall - like I did)
- Error dialog appears. “Error. UndoEmpty”.

That doesn’t sound like a bug. It sounds like you have the Shake Action set to “Undo” (which is the default) – but you haven’t done anything yet that can be un-done, so your undo-queue is empty. Preferences - AnkiMobile Manual
Yep. Default options showing an error dialog under normal use. That’s a bug. No need to display anything to the user
It is showing you the result of your action. Since yours was an accidental drop, it seems like a bug – but if you were intentionally shaking to trigger undo, the message is obviously necessary to let you know what happened/why nothing changed.
I don’t think there’s any way for the app to know whether you did something accidentally or intentionally.
I think we can at least show a user-friendly message here, e.g. “Nothing to undo”.
