[BUG] No (normal) way resize from fullscreen after pressing Esc

Steps to replicate:

  1. Open the stats window.
  2. Press F11 to toggle fullscreen on.
  3. Press Esc.
  4. Open the stats window again.

Actual behavior:

Now there is no normal way to resize the window. You can move the mouse to the corner and drag the border, but it doesn’t feel very professional.

The same bug happens for some other windows like the browser.

Expected behavior:

The windows appear again in windowed mode, with the same dimensions as before toggling fullscreen on.

Debug info:

Anki Desktop latest stable release 25.02.5 (29192d15) on Windows 10.

Does the same thing happen if you F11 to leave fullscreen before you use Esc to close the additional window?

I don’t think it’s the issue here, but the latest release is actually 25.02.7 – if you want to update to that.

No. (It works as intended if I do that)

Interesting. Anki Desktop did not show a message asking me to update AFAIR.

Not every update gets an update notice in the app.
