Bug in Anki Version ⁨2.1.53 (96bacf79)⁩ Python 3.9.7 Qt 6.3.0 PyQt 6.3.0

I’m on the MacBook Pro M1 with Monterey MacOS v12.4. There are no add-ons in my Anki, and I’ve tried restarting while holding down shift key.

Bug: It doesn’t delete the back portion of the card when I create a new card, so the back portion needs to be manually deleted.

“Anki 2.1.45+ supports adjusting sticky fields directly from the editing screen. If you click on the pin icon on the right of a field, Anki will not clear out the field’s content after a note is added. If you find yourself entering the same content into multiple notes, you may find this useful. On previous Anki versions, sticky fields were toggled from the Fields screen.”

Thanks for the tip on stickies. Just to clarify, I don’t need the same content, I need new one. The issue is that it doesn’t delete the old content so I have to manually delete it each time I create a new card.

Try to click on the pin icon. This will deactivate the feature and will probably solve your problem
