[Bug] Cannot set answer key to German umlaut

When trying to customize the answer keys in the settings under “Review”, I cannot input any German umlaut. For example, I want to assign “j”, “k”, “l”, and “ö”, but I am only able to set “j”, “k”, “l” for the first three fields. When I type “ö”, nothing happens, the field stays empty.

Am I missing something?

I am using Anki 23.10.1 on macOS 14.0.

The original implementer restricted it to Latin characters and a few symbols. I’ll relax this restriction in the next update.
