Badges on new small widget are too squashed

The new small widget looks great, but the badges are slightly too small and look like they weren’t designed around the numbers inside them. I’m using the smallest font size possible so it’s not an issue with that. Not to mention, the old version of this widget didn’t have this issue.

I’ve included a screenshot below comparing a native OneUI notification badge with the widget badges.

Ellipses are more space efficient than circles, especially with large numbers:

I have no issue with the choice of using ellipses, it’s the padding that looks wrong. Looks like a student project rather than a professional product. The 2 in your screenshot is barely contained by its ellipse.

A “pill” shape like the one available in Bootstrap badges would have more consistent padding than an ellipse.
