App malfunctioning following the installation of Picmonic Addon

I installed the Picmonic addon to Anki. I attempted to see what changes were made to my existing decks by browsing cards.

However, the app became nonfunctional:

  1. I cannot browse/preview cards despite selecting them from the list.
  2. I can only close Anki from the task manager or by restarting my laptop.

I have attempted the following:

  1. Several restarts of Anki/laptop: no change
  2. Restored from a backup before the picmonic add install: no change
  3. deleting the picmonic addon: no change
  4. deleting image occlusion addon: no change
  5. Restarting while holding shift to disable the remaining Ankihub addon: This allows me to browse and look up cards, and the app closes as normal. However, if I browse any of the cards listed initially after pressing the browse button, the problem recurs. Then, I can no longer browse or search cards, and again, I cannot close Anki.

It almost seems as if picmonic altered that list of cards and they have become nonfunctional. I worry that reinstalling the picmonic addon will further corrupt the rest of the cards.
Do you have any other suggestions I could try?

Maybe the ‘reset window sizes’ option in the preferences screen will help.
