I just tried to update anki to the newest version on my mac. Once I downloaded and replaced the old version, I could no longer open it. I have tried completely deleting and redownloading it but it only bounces in the dock once and won’t open. Can someone please help?
Please try running Anki from the Terminal app via the /Applications/Anki.app/Contents/MacOS/Anki command. Doing so will allow any error messages to be printed in the terminal window. Please copy and paste the error messages in your reply, if you need further help.
Please also note that there are 2 different downloads for Mac: one for newer Apple Silicon systems and another for older Intel systems. Please make sure you download the correct one for your particular system.
