My Anki on my 2024 Macbook air keeps using insane amounts of RAM, like in the sphere of 50-150 GB, even in sessions that last less than a few hours. It did not use to be a problem on my old computer but now seems to happen almost daily. I am bad with technology and do not know what to do.

Does it matter as to which one? Rn I have the default metal, but there is also OpenGL and software as options

Thanks, i tried both, OpenGL did not help, but software seems to so far. Any idea as to why this is the case? I’m just trying to learn.
It’s likely a bug in the graphics toolkit that Anki is built on, triggered by particular hardware or software configurations.
