Hi guys. A friend sent me her anki deck in my iMessages and I am having trouble getting it to the website and/or the app. I am only able to share the deck to other people in my messages. I don’t know how I can import this deck. I tried copying it and sending it to my Gmail but then I get an error messages when importing that .apkg link. Any help is greatly appreciated.
If you’ve only gotten it as far as your messages or emails, have you actually downloaded the full file to your device yet? You’ll need to do that first before you can import it.
And you can’t import it directly to AnkiWeb – you need to import it into one of the apps first.
Messages unfortunately doesn’t seem to support opening .apkg files or saving them to the Files app. I’d recommend asking the person who sent the file to try send it to you in a different way, such as via Email, WhatsApp, or a file-sharing site like Google Drive.
