Hi. I think there is some sort of bug. The other day, I selected the review ahead option and did some cards. Since then, Anki always says I have no cards to do, unless I select the “review ahead” option. Even cards that I know are due do not show up unless I review ahead by 1 day. This has been the case for several days. I have tried syncing and deleting and redownloading the app
When you “review ahead,” you’re reviewing the cards that are due tomorrow – so when you actually reach tomorrow, there aren’t any cards left to review. Obviously, there might be a few exceptions – some cards that you studied and were then scheduled for shorter intervals, cards that were buried, etc. – but for the most part, what you’re seeing is what you should expect.
On the first day you did this – was it because you had no cards scheduled? Or was it after you’d already studied your scheduled cards for the day?
If you want to talk about how your cards are being scheduled – length of intervals, amount of workload, etc. – we’ll need more details from you. But other than that, you’re fine. Just take a day off from the reviewing-ahead, and you’ll be back on schedule.
