Anki android TTS - reads only the front card

Hi all,

I was hoping to start using TTS in my Anki mobile app on Android. However it only reads the front card (in english) for my type in answer flash cards, whereas I would be interested in reading the back card (in spanish). When I type in an answer and click on “replay audio” to listen to the sentence in spanish, it says “type tile” in spanish language, no matter which deck I work on and does not read the answer in Spanish. I do have TTS in my settings on and the only one language to choose from and it is set to Spanish, so all seems to be correct.

Would you have any piece of advice on how to make sure that sentences are read in Spanish?

Can you post your card template? The manual mentions how to use [anki:tts] tags. Are you doing it correctly?

 [anki:tts lang=en_US] This text should be read. Here is {{Field1}} and {{Field2}}[/anki:tts]

This is other text on the template. It is outside of the tags so it should not be read.

Replay audio replays the audio you have included in the card. What is going wrong here? You say the audio is played in Spanish but you’re also saying it’s not in Spanish.
