Anki 25.09.2 "empty" on Ubuntu 24.03.3 LTS

So I really am not tech-savvy, nonetheless I use Ubuntu. Usually, I don’t have any problems but for some reason, when I start Anki, the window stays “empty”. The top menu “File, Edit, View, Tools, Help” is there but where my decks usually are is just an empty white box. I believe it must be some kind of visual bug, because I can still press the “a” key and have another window pop up which allows me to “add” a card, but it only shows the “type” of card and the “deck” - not the actual boxes where I would add the text which should be displayed on the cards. In the main window on Anki I can click on decks and things, I just can’t see them.

Does anyone have experience with this problem? Should I just wait for the next update to fix it? Anki web kinda isn’t a viable option to me because it is somewhat janky. If there is no current fix I would just sit it out
