Anki 2.1.49 won't launch on Windows 10

I updated Anki today, from 2.1.44 version to 2.1.49. It’s not launching at all.:sob: I am using Windows 10, RAM = 8 GB.

I have updated mpv as mentioned in this post : https://forums.ankiweb.net/t/anki-2-1-48-only-starting-atfter-kill-and-second-run/14233?u=mahesh. I have restarted my laptop, but it’s still not launching.

Also, maybe try to install 2.1.44 again, just to check if it still works.

Another possible option is to try to change the display driver, but since Anki 2.1.44 was already displayed correctly, it’s probably not the issue here.

Thank you for your reply @kelciour .

  1. I started Anki without add-ons (by holding down the shift key, as recommended by you). It worked!

  2. I realised that one of the add-ons was preventing Anki from starting normally. So I disabled the add-on that I had most recently installed. This one : Pomo.

  3. I exited Anki. Then I double clicked on it’s icon on my Desktop (to open it normally). It worked!

Anki 2.1.49 is starting normally now. Thanks for the guidance. :pray:
