Anki 2.1.44 Make cards "new"

Hello,
I was wondering if there was a way to put the “forget” function in Anki 2.1.44 into the top bar?
It used to be the “set due date” button but that only shifts cards to today and doesn’t make them new.
Or is there a short cut for it?

@dae I’d be up for a shortcut for that. Seems a few people have requested it.

The top bar is an add-on, so you’d need to ask the add-on author. The reason there’s currently no shortcut is because I did not expect people to be using it frequently compared to ‘set due date’ - could you elaborate on the use case?

Basically when I find cards for my classes, I use the “forget” to make the cards brand new and put them in the next sequence of cards to do, chronologically, in my deck. The “set due date” just puts all the cards to be due today, but I needed them to set to “new” so i can review them in sequence as I go through my classes for the week.

Thanks for elaborating. Anyone have a suggestion for a suitable shortcut?

Is Ctrl+Alt+N used from the browser already?
If so then maybe Ctrl+Shift+Alt+N .

Seems to be free, will be added in next update.
