Allow downloading from ankiweb.net without JS

I know I’m in the minority as someone who browses with Javascript disabled, but this being open source software, it’s going to attract people who are concerned about web security and privacy as well. And it just seems pointless to offer software that cannot be downloaded without JS enabled.

This forum, being text-based, seems like it should work without JS as well. Even with JS enabled, I had to go through several browsers before I could even use this website. All the fancy JS won’t run on the more secure browsers.

Thanks for your attention.

Not an ideal solution, you can download the releases from GitHub without JS as far as I know: Releases · ankitects/anki · GitHub

I highly doubt that. Discouse is very high-level forum software. The front-end of this forum is an Ember.js app.

From the Discouse repo:

Discourse is built for the next 10 years of the Internet, so our requirements are high.

Discourse supports the latest, stable releases of all major browsers and platforms:
Apple Safari, Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox.
