AlgoApp still using AnkiApp name in Japanese app store

Sorry if this isn’t the right place. I wasn’t sure if there was a better category for this.

I wanted to let the iOS app team know that AlgoApp (formerly AnkiApp) is still using the Anki name (in English as a brand name, not in Japanese) as part of their app’s named branding (not as part of the topline app description) in the Japanese app store. (See first image). I’m not sure if this is because of a hypothetical “Anki lacking the mean of enforcing a trademark over the romanisation of a common Japanese word in the Japanese market” issue, or a lack of knowledge of an infringement occuring in the first place and therefore no request has been made to have Algoapp change their brand name in this market.

For reference of how to use the Japanese word “anki” in a way that doesn’t potentially infringe on Anki’s trademark, Noji (formerly Ankipro) has their name and topline as “Noji: 暗記アプリ フラッシュカード”. Translated, that’s “Noji: Memorisation app flashcards”, where 暗記 = memorisation, pronounced “anki”, and it’s used as a regular Japanese word, not as part of their brand name. (see second image)
