Is there an add on existing, where i can set my intervals manually while learning. For example the options are 3d 5d 10d but id like to set it to 7d. An additional button for that would be amazing. At the moment my workaround is setting due dates, but the problem with that is those cards aren’t shown as learnt that day.
So … instead of using either one of the scheduling algorithms you have available to you in Anki – you want to impose your own fixed-interval study schedule? But why though?
If you’re new to Anki – there must be a reason you chose it, possibly because you heard how great it is at helping you learn. Don’t you think it’s worth it to give Anki’s scheduling a try before you start cutting out the parts of the app that make it so great?

To answer your direct question – no, I don’t think there are any add-ons that do that. Such an add-on would largely defeats the purpose of using Anki in the first place.
If I’m misunderstood, and you’re talking about something you want to do in a special case for certain special cards, consider giving us more detail about what your trying to accomplish. Who knows – there might be a way.
Thank you for your thoughtful reply!
Yes, I’m aware of how Anki’s algorithm works, and I do use it as intended in general – I definitely see the value in its spaced repetition scheduling and I’ve benefited from it.
That said, I have a very important exam coming up soon, and in this specific case, my goal is to make sure I’ve reviewed all my cards at least once shortly before the exam date. So even if Anki schedules a card for review lets say one day after the exam because of the algorithm, that’s not helpful for me in this particular context.
So essentially, you want to cram. There are many posts about cramming that you can find with a quick search, but the short answer is to use filtered decks.
Thanks for your comment! I’m actually aware of the filtered deck feature, and it’s definitely useful in many cases. But it doesn’t quite give me the flexibility I’m looking for. What I’d really like is to decide, while studying, exactly when I want to see each card again, based on how difficult it feels in that moment.
For example, I might judge a card to be not too hard and want to see it again three days before the exam. Then another one two days before, and another one one day before. It would just be much easier if I could directly set the interval for each card individually as I go.
So filtered decks are great, but I think a manual interval option per card would suit this kind of preparation better, especially for cramming with a more intuitive and flexible approach.
Human beings are generally terrible at making that sort of assessment. That is the reason for having a scheduling algorithm in the first place. If you give it your honest and accurate grades, it can do its job and schedule your cards correctly.
And then, regardless of when the cards are actually scheduled, you can use any card properties you want to create your Filtered decks. If you want to build a deck out of cards you’ve given a certain grade to in a certain timeframe – or cards that are due after your exam date that haven’t been studied recently – you can. Maybe the algorithm is better in most situations. I fully understand why it exists and how well it works. But sometimes, especially in specific cases, I just want to be on the safe side and have the option to manually choose a shorter interval. It’s not about ignoring or rejecting the algorithm, but about having the flexibility to adjust things based on how I feel about a particular card at the moment. Even if others don’t understand the reasoning behind such a feature, I have thought it through carefully and have my reasons for wanting that kind of control. It’s simply an additional tool to complement the system, not replace it. Having this option would help me feel more confident in my study process even though it might be less efficient.
