Accessing the same card/deck information on one desktop with multiple profiles

I’m using my profile on Anki Desktop to create and edit a deck/cards that I want to (privately) share.

In order to make it easier for me to create/edit/share my deck with my friend, we have his profile logged in on my Anki Desktop, so I can swap between the two accounts and export/import the deck (no emailing large files required!)

But … It’s the same deck that the other profile has access to. I haven’t yet seen any way to allow two accounts to see the same deck/cards - or even something along the lines of “import decks from other user”.

It doesn’t have to be automatic syncing, or even allow for the second user to edit the “originals”, but something that isn’t “Export Copy to desktop > Change User > Import Copy from desktop” would be nice.

TL;DR:
Is there any (easy) way to sync the card/deck information across two profiles on the same desktop? Or am I stuck export/import-ing the deck every time I want to make a change? :smiling_face_with_tear:

Anki has no built-in way to make this easy. There are various add-ons available that try to support this workflow.

Do you know of any add-ons off hand that would work? Otherwise I’ll go digging, but if there’s one you would recommend/prefer, I’ll use that instead :grin:
