What's difference between backup and export collection? just wanna "snapshot" anki before some changes thx

hi,

i found both use .colpkg;
from manual,
i guess “auto backup” don’t include media etc?
so… if i wanna “snapshot” my anki, i better use the export function?

just look for a simple ans thanks

Correct, auto backups doesn’t nclude media files.

i’ll suggest write more clear in the manual.

otherwise some people may “backup” it and change device etc and lose their media then.
