What is the best version of Anki for addon support? I’m thinking about using an external drive with an older version and many, many addons.
There is no such version. Older Anki versions include issues that long have been fixed. Addons that haven’t been updated in a long time likely won’t see updates in the future, so the chances are high you have to stick with outdated software and its issues. Try to limit the number of your add-ons, look for alternatives and go with a recent Anki version.

Well, I’m now using the most recent Qt5 on my PC. But on my flashdrive I was going to use 2.0.55 with loads of addons (though I also have the new Qt6 on another flashdrive)
