Hi,
I am using “type-in answer cards,” but what I type (e.g., 1+1) is not recognized as 1+1. Instead, it is read as “1 1” when I turn the card.
This issue only happens with the “+” (plus) sign—it is being interpreted as a space.
Do I need to configure something in the template to fix this? {{Back}}
I tried searching online for others with the same problem, but I couldn’t find anything.
Thank you,

Have you tried using other keyboards? This doesn’t happen for me in the latest version.
I just tried GBoard (google) and my default keyboard, samsung.
The same problem with both of them.
Which one do you use? Can you share your configs on ankidroid?

I use Microsoft SwiftKey.
What about your AnkiDroid version? Are you on the latest version?
I changed to SwiftKey keyboard, the following image is a print of the problem.
My version is 2.20.0

I’m really not sure why is this happening. Can you tell us when you started to notice this? Also, can you post your debug info here (Settings > About > Copy debug info )?
@David Can you have a look?
Hi!
Good news:
I was able to solve the issue by reinstalling the app.
I also cleared the cache and data on my phone.
Thanks again!!
