Suggestion: "Cloze Field" For Things of Unknown Quanities

I don’t think I necessarily understand what you’re asking for, but I’m going to give you a couple things to think about.

1. You can use a Cloze note type to “fake” a Q/A card, by just cloze-ing the answer.

Not specifically, but you can use a Cloze note type to make a Basic-ish card: Question? {{c5::Answer}} If you need to do this a lot, you can add another cloze field replacement to your card template, so you have one field to put your standard cloze, and another field to put your Q&A cloze. As long as the Q&A has a different cloze number, it will show up on a different (sibling) card.

2. You can have multiple cloze-filtered-fields on a note type.
