I have the latest stable version of Anki. The software works fine, I just can’t add any add ons or else I’ll get the following message:

What is your version exactly? Can you look into Help -> About...?

I checked and I had version 2.0.xx. Turns out I had two versions of Anki installed in different locations. The shortcut I was using opened the 2.0.xx version. I uninstalled both and reinstalled. Fixed the problem. Thanks.
