Simulator estimates less than deck page

In the simulator, I have “In 0 days, 107 reviews”. On the deck page I have 94+20 = 114 reviews.

This deck and its subdecks are the only ones that have this preset. Why is the simulator estimating a lower number than the deck page presents?

It is probably a rounding error and should be fixed in newer versions. Download latest version.

Are any of your cards overdue? – Go to Stats > Future Due, and tick the “Backlog” box.

But at the end of the day the experimental simulator is both experimental and a simulator.

I don’t see a “Backlog” box.

Version ⁨25.02.5 (29192d15)⁩

Okay, good – that means it’s not backlog cards.

But I notice something else now – you’re part-way through your studying for the day. Were you when you ran the simulation, or was that at the start of the day?

That was the start.

Okay, I’m going to move this over to the FSRS category and the devs will let you know if they need any additional data from you.

I’m going to guess that the simulator takes buried siblings into account whereas the deck screen doesn’t.

Maybe … but the screenshot is of the study screen, where to-be-buried siblings would show up as gray + numbers.

Today’s simulator says 109; the deck says 20+1+89=110. Pretty close.

Shouldn’t new cards count twice anyways (You have to see them at least twice to press Good Good)?

So the simulation seems to be off by at least 20 cards – and that’s assuming you actually always get your new cards right twice in a row.

I don’t think OP has the version where learning steps are simulated.

You’re probably right, sorata.

@nsk, can you try with the latest beta (or latest build from main) and see if you have the same issue there?

If that one Learn/Relearn card was a leftover from yesterday, it was already counted then, and this is spot on at 109.
