SIGKILL Issue Updating Anki on Mac

Been trying to fix this for DAYS, would really appreciate some help!

When downloading the 25.09 Version from ankuweb, my Mac opens a terminal window (below).

I’ve pressed Enter and I’ve tried 1, then Enter. I’m stuck with this popping up every time after:

I’ve tried downloading older versions. I’ve tried asking Chat for help. I’ve updated my computer software. I’ve cried. Please send help

Please read this previous forum comment containing information about possible fixes and workarounds for the issue.

Please be aware that the Rosetta workaround should be considered a short-term, temporary workaround. It will no longer work if you ever upgrade to Mac OS 28 after September 2027 or if you buy a new Mac computer after that date and transfer your files to it using Migration Assistant.
