Search function not showing cards that satisfy terms

Hi, looking for some troubleshooting help.

I am having trouble creating filtered decks because the tagging system isn’t showing cards that clearly satisfy the search terms.
For example: tag:SA_UWorld has 44 cards that are new, but when I search for tag:SA_UWorld & is:new only 27 cards are being filtered and the rest are not showing up in search or in the filtered deck. I have triple checked the cards missing have the correct tag and indeed are new.

Any fixes?

Perhaps those cards could be buried or suspended or they might be in an entirely different filtered deck. These cards will not be added in a filtered deck.
When you say “you checked and they are indeed new”, you meant that they have no reviews on them, right?

The & is interpreted differently. See the last bullet point of Searching - Anki Manual.

If you just use tag:SA_UWorld is:new it should work.
