Reviews contribution to the Anki database size

I have an Anki database collection.anki2 sized 40mb which I suspect is unusually high. I’m curious to know how much of that is card content and how much of it are reviews.

i.e: how much each review contributes to the size of the Anki database?

The AnkiDroid documentation for the database here: Database Structure · ankidroid/Anki-Android Wiki · GitHub could provide an answer to this but I’m not sure if it’s as simple as summing up the data types sizes.

I wouldn’t say that’s reached “unusually” yet, but unless you’ve been studying for a decade, it’s more likely due to the text in your notes than to your revlog.

Rather than work out an abstract of what it could be, you can get specific data for your own collection from the Note Size add-on. It gives separate totals for your text, media, and revlog.
