Please add a button to “Restart” the desktop Anki app above “Exit” in the file tab

What is your usecase? Every feature adds maintainance burden and I personally don’t see why closing and opening manually would be such a big deal.
Most of the time one wouldn’t want a restart anyways (it is only needed for enabling / disabling addons, no?).
and changing settings. Possibly some other things too.
If it’s going to be added, it should probably be in the dialog message saying “please restart Anki” or something like that.

Check out the add-ons. Maybe something will work for your operating system.
I’m not offering my own solution. It worked for me before, but not anymore. I need to look at the source code and fix it. Not every program has this feature, since the operating system, not the program itself, is responsible for launching.
