Request: Option for deck specific DR to apply subdecks

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Recently, the ability to select a desired retention based on deck was added. This is a handy feature, but based on the poll results in this discussion, it was decided that deck-specific DR should not apply to subdecks. Currently, if you have a parent deck with DR of 90%, and a subdeck with DR of 80%, the parent deck overrides and the subdeck is forced to be 90% DR as well. I think there should be an option for deck-specific DR to apply to subdecks as it provides greater flexibility and customization.

Describe the solution you’d like
I would like to see a toggle added which allows the subdeck DR to be prioritized. Example below. This means that if you have a parent deck with a DR of 90%, and a subdeck with DR of 80%, the subdeck cards will be kept at 80% as the subdeck DR will override the parent deck DR.

Describe alternatives you’ve considered
The current workaround is to create a different present and desired retention for any subdecks which is cumbersome. By making it an option, I believe everyone can be satisfied.

Is that true? That didn’t seem to be the outcome of the discussion we had. Is that how this was this implemented? – @L.M.Sherlock – @Expertium

Every card should be using the preset / “this deck” setting of the subdeck it is actually in – not be controlled by the parent deck.

I cannot reproduce the issue:

False alarm! I thought the discussion was saying that subdecks were ignored, but it does actually work just fine in the actual anki. Thanks for testing and confirming that!
