Regarding the road-map

I truly appreciate your hard work in making Anki the best flashcard app. I can’t imagine my studies without it. I have a question regarding the road-map following version 25.09.2, are there any planned feature upgrades or updates you can share?

Hi, take a look at this comment

The team’s priority right now is a new build/release process that will return Anki to the days of a simple GUI installer. After that release, they’ll look at what fixes/features to tackle in subsequent releases.

This is sad:
Due to my recent experiments, I think it’s better to close this PR at first because FSRS-6 with default parameters doesn’t outperform SM-2 in scheduling. I will reopen it until I find a better method to solve this problem

This may be true for some data, but for the average user who’s a poor student, the FSRS algorithm is much more useful. The problem is that they don’t read the help file or follow the recommendations, otherwise FSRS wouldn’t automatically make mistakes. Okay, so let’s even have SM-2, but we need some automated analysis that could advise these users on what they should do, perhaps what needs to be changed, to prevent extremely poor learning quality (the problem here isn’t the 5-10% error rate; that’s within the margin of error of individual users. When there are real discrepancies of 50% or more, which FSRS could have provided, the user could be informed about this after the analysis).
