I thought it in-polite to speak a non UN official language in international forums.

i guess these texts are xxxxxx?

Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian and Spanish are the six official languages of the United Nations. English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat and are used in day-to-day professional exchanges.

If users post a query on this forum in their native language and it can be answered by native speakers, we will usually do so.

I am afraid someone will claim to speak:

  1. Martinian language
  2. Engima
  3. AES256
    language and flood the forum.

We can cross that bridge if we come to it. For now, the non-English posts are relatively infrequent, and it’s a nicer experience for non-English speakers if someone is able to answer them in their own tongue.
