Optimizing FSRS Settings for high-stakes NEET UG 2027 Exam (11-Month Timeline)

Why? Is that because you’re using Anki for the first time? Or have you deliberately done something to avoid your prior review history? [And do you mean a Profile? Or an Options preset?]

I’m asking because your parameters aren’t optimized, and the faster you get Anki scheduling your cards the way your memory needs them to be scheduled, the better for you.

No. FSRS doesn’t have a model for near-term memory – so blanking out your steps isn’t recommended for most users [and this still applies to FSRS-6].

For beginners with no experience, who don’t yet know what will be a good fit for them, I recommend setting one short (5m-20m) learning step and relearning step. Whatever you want to set in that range is fine. For more about why, see my prior comment .

There’s no need to lower the max interval at all – but 120d is far too low.

This sort order has some benefits if you’re studying overdue cards, but if you study your cards when they are scheduled, it has no benefit.

Why? Do you have experience that suggests 91% DR is right for you for this material? Do you have review history that indicates you’re able to maintain 91% retention?

Why have you lowered your threshold? Are you planning to regularly do something about the Leech cards?
