New cards become review cards the very next day despite graduating interval of 2 days

Hello, so I am starting to do content review as my semester is starting back up again and have my been doing new cards. I have my graduating interval for my new cards set to review in 2 days. However, the past few days, my new cards that I had completed are showing up the very next day.

When I check my intervals, they are the same as before, 10 for again, 25 for easy and 2 days for graduating. I did not change anything yet it has been happening to me for every new card the past half a week or so.

I am syncing between my computer and laptop and have been postponing my reviews by a day to complete new cards then -1 once finished. So I thought that was the cause, but I did not postpone today and the same issue occurred.

I am also overseas where the time zone is 7 hours ahead of my home city. Maybe that’s the problem?

Someone please help me, I want my new cards that I had graduated to actually show 2 days later instead of the next day. Thanks

  1. Are you strict about making sure that you sync when you open the app, and when you close/leave the app on both devices, every time?
  1. What have you been using to “postpone” reviews? Is it an add-on, and if so, which one?
  1. Are both of your devices set to the same time zone, and you’re not using a VPN to mask either of their locations when syncing?

  2. How long ago did you travel? (You don’t have to give your itinerary! I’m asking just in case you’re still studying cards that graduated in the other time zone.)

  3. Can you post the Card Info – Statistics - Anki Manual – of a card that has been through this (graduated, and then you studied and graded it the next day)?

1- No i am not strict
2- I am using an add-on. Add on is called “postpone cards review”
3- As far far as i am aware, both my devices are showing the correct time I am in for the timezone and am not using any sort of VPN.
4- I have been here for about 2 weeks. I first started noticing it with some of the new micro cards I was doing but it was a bit so I ignored it. then when I started doing my actual school content, it was too much of news becoming reviews for the next day. I have been studying all summer, so I do have cards that I had done way before coming here.

Especially when you are using add-ons to bulk-modify cards, you must sync at the start and end of each session, or you risk cards being reverted to an older state.

Please see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkiM4DPzSVc&list=PLGgmaKOIHykFoomqkBJAyGiDQ2kyiuTao&index=1&t=224s#syncing-at-start-and-end

Same thing with this one. So how do I fix this problem?

You should be. See also what dae responded, and watch the video.

This one – https://ankiweb.net/shared/info/1152543397 ? You should stop using that. If you are repeatedly using it, you could be causing a lot of upheaval in your database. From the comments, it looks like this add-on doesn’t postpone Learn cards at all, but if you graduate them to Review, and then do a -1 postpone … don’t you think that’s probably what is pushing these cards back to 1d from 2d?

Add-ons like this are almost always unnecessary. What are you trying to accomplish with it? Perhaps there is a better way.
