According to the thread above, you can put mpv.conf in Anki’s data folder. I tried putting mpv.conf with a line saying fullscreen=yes in the folder, and confirmed it works on Windows and Linux. I don’t have a macOS, so I can’t verify if it works, but I think it probably does.
