[Linux] Unable to download 'anki 25.9.2'

Obviously this is from Anki launcher. I installed all linux requirements. I’ve gone back several times uninstall and install from command line anki. and have not been able to move past this point.

Running Debian 13.

Anki Launcher

  1. Latest Anki (press Enter)

  2. Choose a version

  3. Allow betas: off

  4. Cache downloads: on

  5. Download mirror: off

  6. Uninstall

  1. Did you run the launcher with 1 again to see if the download works, now? It does say something about connection reset, so maybe it’s related to your internet connection, firewalls, ect.
  2. Maybe try with 4, cache downloads, disabled?
  3. You can also try to completely remove the AnkiProgramFiles (see Managing Files - Anki Manual) and try again to download the files with 1.

It should work on debian as I am using it myself and the installation worked with no issue.

Trying option 4 terminates the process even more quickly. I don’t think I tried anki1 since I installed the remaining Debian suggestions/requirements. I will try this evening.
