Keyboard inputs and even clicks not working after 25.09.2 update

Hello! I’ve used Anki for years with absolutely no problem. I have not updated since probably 2 years ago. Yesterday I decided, why not, I’ll finally say yes to the update. Now my computer keys are not working as input. Even the space bar has to be pressed multiple times to register that I want to flip a card or move to the next. I can’t use the 1234 keys whatsoever (or any others, tried changing to letters with no result) to mark hard/easy etc. As others have noted this in similar threads this means Anki is basically not useful since the hard/easy feature is what really sets it apart from just regular flashcards, for me. I actually think something beyond the keyboard is wrong, because even when I’m clicking with my touchpad on the “easy” or “hard” or “medium” words it takes many clicks to register and sometimes just won’t. So the problem is not limited to the keyboard, thought it won’t work on the keyboard at all and does sometimes/unreliably work if I mouse over to the word and click on it. I have a 2020 MacBook Air which has the M1 chip and is running OS Monterey 12.2.1. I know nothing about computers so I apologize in advance for any lack of info. I did run it in safe mode and also just restart my computer before posting this and it didn’t change anything. I also uninstalled the current version and redownloaded 25.07.02 because someone had said that was before something called the Qt update? That did not solve the problem at all. Very sad because I rely so much on the wonderfulness that is Anki and right now it’s pretty much unusable for me. :frowning:
