Improving the css editor to match the browser one

I have gladly noticed that recently, a huge improvement has been done for HTML editing inside browser fields. It even starts having advanced editor features, such as automatically closing tags, indenting, syntax highlighting and others.

However, the “Cards” editor is still the old one, which is a pain to work with. Would it be possible to crank it up to the level of the new, fantastic browser editor?

It’s certainly on the roadmap, however it will take some time (and work) to get there.
