How to Apply a Custom Font to Browser Appearance

Hey everyone.

I need hlep with applying a custom font in when viewing fields in the browser. I will try to explain in detail below.

I am currently using a custom font in my anki deck that applies when I am reviewing cards. This is what an example card would look like while reviewing [focus on part circled in red]:

However, when I look at the card in my browser. This font does not apply so characters look weird. See below for example [again focus on part circled in red]:

As you can see, the circle with the numbers does not display properly in the browser window.

While reading the AnkiWeb documentation, I noticed that we can change the font in the browser as it says here (Changing the font - Anki FAQs). However, I cannot figure out how to apply my custom font.

If you are wondering, I initially applied the custom font using the steps highlighted here (Styling & HTML - Anki Manual).

Thanks in advance

Your jumplink went to the “Browser Appearance” instructions – which changes the rows of the tables in Browse. I think what you are looking for is the one before that –

  • To change the font you see when adding or editing, please click the “Fields” button.

As long as the font is installed on your computer, you can use it in fields in the note editor. Adding/Editing - Anki Manual

Thanks for all you do for this community! I feel dumb now but atleast it worked!! I was so laser focused on trying to get browser appearance to work cause it said “browser” haha.

No one here will call you “dumb” for looking for, and finding, and following the directions! The jargon can be hard to deal with!
