Help me find an error with ankiconnect i couldnt config vocabsieve

i couldnt config it with anki. Also i restarted my computer and deleted anki add-ons but nothing changed. also i have read faq& rules so i did what things in troobleshooting it didnt work. pls help me unite vocab with anki. Also i reboouted pc but anki wasnt restart

AnkiConnect is an add-on for Anki, it can communicate with external apps. It is not included in the native Anki so you need to download it. (please restart Anki after downloading)

Basically add-ons and web tools are developed by individual volunteers and are not supported by official Anki or Anki community, so if you encounter any problems you will need to contact the authors of AnkiConnect or Vocabsieve. (or language learning community)

If you have already downloaded AnkiConnect to the latest version of Anki and no errors are displayed, AnkiConnect is likely working fine. In that case there may be a problem with vocabsieve. If you try another web tool that uses AnkiConnect, you will be able to see if AnkiConnect is communicating or not. e.g. maybe yomitan

I downloaded AnkiRestart V2 - Quick Anki Rebooter (Created by Shigeඞ) i restarded by this but sentense in toolbar addons still RESTART ANKI….I feel stressed out

That text is not related, it will always be displayed regardless of whether a restart is needed or not. Is AnkiConnect displayed there? If it’s installed correctly it should be displayed, like this:

This error shows up when AnkiConnect is not running, so it looks like the connection failed.

You might want to try these things:

  • Other add-ons may interfere, if you are using multiple add-ons, disable all add-ons except AnkiConnect.
  • Manually restart Anki and vocabsieve.
  • AnkiConnect does not support older versions of Anki, so if you are using an older version of Anki, update to the latest version.
  • Communication may be blocked by a firewall, if this is the case you will need to check your PC settings.
