FSRS retention simulator cuts off at 70%

Hello!

For the FSRS simulator the cutoff of the graph (and before lowest returned number for optimal desired retention) has always been at 70%. I was wondering if this could be lowered to perhaps around 60%. I have always wondered what the lower part of the graph looks like for me, and in my case my optimal retention for some decks has always been below 70% (although I’ve never gone below 70%). I guess my memory just works different from most. Here is an example for one of my easiest decks:

It’s clear that the value will keep dropping even below 70% optimal retention. I’ve used Anki for about 5 years (thank you devs for this amazing app!) and have hundreds of thousands of reviews, so I’m sure that the algorithm is trained well on my review history.

Also, I was wondering, is there any good reason not to go below 70% desired retention for these decks? I’m learning languages and have an almost infinite supply of new cards so I can always do more cards when I have a lower desired retention. Besides, the vocabulary gets reinforced in immersion, which is an argument for a lower retention rate.

Kind regards,

Jacob
