Feedback wanted for new feature: notes view

Suppose I’m working on your Note View.

I find a Cloze Note with 3 cards (In different Deck, have different Due Date, different Ease, etc…).
I want to:

  1. Check their respective Card Property (Deck, Card modified date, Due Date…)
  2. Preview Card (Button Disabled when you select a Note, Enabled when you expand a Note and select a Card)

How can I accomplish these tasks in Note View?

Expand Note in Note View is not intuitive, we may jump back to Card View after click Number of Cards, search bar will be filled with “deck:*” AND “nid:”.

Or we can add a Right Click Menu Item in Note View “Expand Notes in Card View”. We can choose multiple Notes. After right click, panel will automatically switch back to Card View, search bar will be filled with “deck:*” AND (“nid:” OR “nid:”).

Actually, selections are preserved when switching modes, so you can select a note in note mode, switch to card mode and all cards of the note will be selected.
As for the preview, there’s no reason why it couldn’t be available in note mode. We can even allow switching to all the cards of a note.
So your use case is already covered with the current solution. :slightly_smiling_face:
