Color notes based on flags in the card browser

In the card browser, the rows should be color coded based on the flag/state of the first card generated from that note.

In particular, notes with a single card type should behave just like cards and be colored in the browser.

Until recently, this was a feature of AnkiDroid.

I think it would confuse people a lot, especially as people are often already confused about notes and cards.

The notes mode already uses the first card to show data like due date and card info.

So we do have a precedent but I’m not sure what we’re already doing is good.

Take the confusion with “position” that recently came up.

Do you think it would still be confusing if notes having a note type with a single card type are colored?

Yes, because people wouldn’t be able to easily intuit why the different behaviour for different notes.

And besides, if there’s only one card per note, why do you need to switch to note mode? I understand you have your reasons but not sure most people will need notes mode in this situation.

Because I have different note types and some of them have multiple cards. Having multiple rows for the same note clutters the browser.

I found a workaround which is to use the new default search text feature.
