Sometimes, I have to sync my collection using metered networks (such as WiFi hotspot from my smartphone). But, I don’t want to spend my mobile data for syncing media files. These could be synced later when I am on an unmetered connection.
The reason for this request is that the cost of mobile data can be a significant concern in some countries.
So, I would request for the addition of an option to sync media only on unmetered connections, just like the current betas of AnkiDroid have.
