was looking for a dark mode add on and came across this. I very obliviously downloaded it without reading the reviews first. It completely crashed my anki, the app wont re-open. I uninstalled the files for anki and re-downloaded it and it still doesn’t work. Please help.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen reviews that quite so clearly indicate you shouldn’t use an add-on. 
I don’t know what 's going on under the hood of that add-on, but it would be rare for it to do any permanent damage. You need to go where your user data is stored and find it in your Anki2/addons21 folder – it will be the folder named with that add-on code. Delete that folder. Then you can try to run Anki again.
If that doesn’t work, we might have to get more creative.
