I received notification of a new upgrade to Anki today. I commence the download but received the following message during the installation:
I am unable to use Anki on my desktop any more.
What can I do to resolve this issue?

Please restart your computer, then try the installer again (before starting Anki). If problems persist, you can try removing the c:\program files\anki folder manually, then running the installer.

It worked - I browsed and downloaded a lot of stuff to finally get this very simple strick, restarting the laptop ! Many thanks.
