We need help - advice:
The task: We have an add-on for Anki that is actually ANKI SHELL - it holds its own database with cards and synchronizes them with the decks - Anki databases. The problem is that our SHELL has its own card learning order, but for the learning itself we use an interface and mechanism = Anki’s algorithm. And we want to force Anki to learn cards according to our order, which is dynamic, meaning that we are constantly renewing series of cards that need to be learned. We need to do it in a clean and transparent way that won’t drive Anki crazy, but that it will learn according to our order. Together with AI, we are still getting into trouble to make it work properly. My daughter is currently working on it, but the question is first how to do such things?
For new cards, you can change the position numbers of the cards (the due field). By default, Anki will show cards according to their position (This is controlled by the Display Order options).
Thank you very much for your consideration and answer!
Can I play with this field not only for new cards but also with old ones?
Will I make a filtered deck every time I want to send a series of cards to Anki for study in order?
And after study I should return the field value as it was?
Non-new cards are less flexible. But you can make a filtered deck and set due dates manually, or use Anki’s Grade Now feature.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH !
