A deck uploaded to Ankiweb from Anki Desktop successfully shows the Answer box based on this text {{type:cloze:text}}. However when this deck is loaded to Ankidroid (on a tablet) from Ankiweb, no Answer box appears, although the same Cloze text is present in the Template.
Go to settings → about → copy debug info and paste it here.
AnkiDroid shows a built-in text box at the bottom of the screen by default. You can go to settings → advanced → and enable “Type answer into the card” if you want a text box inside the card view like on Anki Desktop.
You can also try enabling the new study screen from the settings if you haven’t done already.
