I followed the Anki guide to install a custom font and it is showing up in “Editing Font” in the fields section and populates in the search bar(see below) which gives me the impression that I installed it correctly, however, when I type in my fields, the font displayed is instead the default one. The only way I am able to get the font to display is if I add an audio file with the HyperTTS addon. In that case, the whole HyperTTS sound link becomes my custom font and anything placed immediately after it turns into the custom font. How do I fix this so I can use my custom font anywhere on the card?
Click the “<>” button in the top right corner of the field screenshot. Maybe there’s some hardcoded styling there.
Remove the pink <pre> and </pre> tags.
Thank you! This worked but is there a way I can make this change to all the cards in my deck without manually going in and removing the tags because they automatically appear even when I make a new card.
When you copy-paste from a website or something like that, the HTML gets pasted too. You can disable that in the settings. Other than this, it might be some addon you’re using that’s adding these HTML tags.
To remove the existing tags, use find & replace feature.
It seems that if I make a new field, it does not automatically add the pre tag, so I guess I could change all the cards to display a custom field I make that’s different from the default front/back.
ah okay thank you! I’ll look into that.
And going forward you can Shift-paste to strip the formatting. Adding/Editing - Anki Manual
Thank you so much! Sorry a bit of noob with all this and I wasn’t sure what was causing it so I wasn’t sure where to look in the manual. Appreciate all the help
