Hello Anki community,I’m looking for some guidance on how to create Anki flashcards using just my iPad. I have a text passage that I want to convert into a question-and-answer format for my Anki decks. Specifically, I would like to know how to use the Perplexity.ai app to generate these flashcards and save them in CSV format, which I can then import into the web version of Anki through Safari on iOS.Here’s what I’m hoping to achieve:
- Use Perplexity.ai to input my text passage.
- Generate a set of flashcards in a Q&A format.
- Save these flashcards as a CSV file directly on my iPad.
- Import this CSV file into the web version of Anki using Safari.
If anyone has experience with this process or can provide step-by-step instructions, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance for your help!Best regards!
however my cousin wanna try first.

Hi, I was actually able to do a bulk import on the Anki app on my iPhone. I’m not sure if this is a new feature or not, but here’s how I did it:
- I created my flash cards on Google Sheets
- I copied and pasted it into an online .txt file maker on Safari (I used edit pad dot org)
- I downloaded the .txt file
- I clicked on it in the download tab in Safari
- It automatically opened in Anki, allowing me to alter the settings before importing the cards in bulk
I was very surprised this automatically opened in Anki. I was even more surprised I was able to import these cards in bulk, given that I can’t seem to find any settings in the app that allows this, and everywhere online says you can’t import in bulk on your iPhone. But, I did it! So, I hope this also works for you!
